What is a volumetric chargeable weight?
- The worldwide standard for handling air cargo is based on the greater of actual weight or volumetric weight.
This is calculated by multiplying the length x width x height in cm then divide by 6000
example. Box 50cm x 25cm x 25cm divided by 6000 = 5.21kg chargeable

Are there any extra or hidden costs?
- Our to Door service includes all charges except destination duty & tax (if applicable). If a customs examination is required at destination, this will be required to be paid by you.
Our to Airport service does not include as above, plus destination airline handling, customs clearance & delivery.

What is the difference between your Economy & Express Service?
- Economy airfreight utilises flights twice a week. Express Airfreight flies on the next available flight

Do you offer a cheaper Seafreight Option?
- Yes, we do offer Seafreight. When quoting you, this option will be provided. Airfreight can work out cheaper in most cases for shipments less than 100kg.

What is classified as a DG? (Dangerous Good)
- The following items are classed as DGs. These are articles or substances which are capable of posing a significant risk to health, safety or property when transported by airfreight or seafreight.
Fireworks, Ammunition, firearms, explosives, matches, batteries, aerosol cans, cylinders of compressed air or gas, flammable liquids, paint, fuel, cigarette lighters, paint thinners, nail polish, perfume, hairspray, detergents, bleaches, dry ice, specimens

What Items are restricted?
- The following items are restricted & may attract destination duty & tax. A Customs inspection may also be required.
Cigarettes, Alcohol, Camping & Diving Equipment, Electrical Appliances

How do I get a price?

What carton sizes do you supply?
- We can supply large cartons 50cm x 40cm x 35cm (up to 30kg) Medium cartons 40cm x 30cm x 25cm (up to 15kg)
You may use your own cartons or suitcases.
For ease of handling we suggest no more than 30kg per piece. There is no limit on the total weight.

Can we use our own packaging?
- Yes you can. Use your own suitcases or boxes. Please ensure the card board boxes are strong enough
If you have any large or heavy items like furniture or a TV, we will be happy to assist with packaging or supply details of specialist packing companies who handle this requirement

Do you offer insurance?
- Yes we do.
As standard, you are covered by IATA for airfreight at US$20.00 per kg under the Warsaw Convention Policy
We can offer full marine insurance which can be quoted at the time of your enquiry

What is Customs Clearance?
- This is the formal process for all goods entering or leaving a country
Please note that some countries do not allow private individuals to customs clear there own shipments, they must appoint there own cargo agent to arrange on behalf. Our to Door service provides this service.
Some countries, such as the USA & Canada stipulate that private individuals must customs clear their own shipment on arrival at destination. Our to Airport option covers this requirement. We can provide details of a local agent who can assist you on your arrival

How do I book a shipment?
- Once you have received your quote, please complete our Booking Instruction and email to info@ezybag.co.nz
We will then contact you to make arrangements for collection our you can drop off at our airport office.

How do I make payment?
- We can take payment by internet bank transfer, EFTPOS, Visa or Mastercard
Once we have your booking, check weighted the freight, we will confirm the total cost and supply an invoice

How do I track my shipment?

How do I become an Agent?

What is an Itemised Packing List & Inventory?
- The packing list is an inventory stating the contents of your shipment. This is required for security & customs purpose.

What is a Security Declaration?
- The security declaration is required to be signed to ensure all regulations are followed when packing your shipment.

What will the charges be?
- When we receive your enquiry we will offer you several pricing options.
Airfreight and / or Seafreight, with the option of delivery to door or just to airport or port
This is an estimate based on the weight and dimensions give. The final price will be calculated once the shipment has been check weighed into our warehouse.

Will I have to pay any Duty or Tax?
- Duty & Tax varies depending on the items being shipped. In most cases, personnal effects owned by you for at least 6 months are duty & tax free. Please bear in mind that we have no control over the action of customs at destination. We will always assist you to ensure the paperwork is completed correctly to minimise delays with customs.

What documents do I need?
- Please complete our Booking Instruction. We also require a copy of your passport.
Certain countries require additional customs forms (Australia, South Africa, United Kingdom) we will forward these forms to you once booked

How long does it take?
- Transit times vary from country to country
Airfreight services range from 3-9 days. Seafreight ranges from 15-50 days
We will confirm your chosen service transit time with you at the time of booking

What happens at the other end?
- For shipments to Airport / Seaport only
Contact the airline or shipping line concerned. You will need to take your documentation we supplied you & pay any handling fees due to them. You will then need to proceed to customs to have your forms stamped before returning to the airline or shipping line, who will then release your shipment for collection.
For shipments sent Door to Door
We arrange everything for you. Customs Clearance, collection & delivery to your door are all included in the price paid for.
Customs duty & tax (if applicable) at destination will need to be paid for prior to delivery.

Does my baggage travel on the same flight as me?
- We can ship before, after or on the same same flight as you. The choose is yours.

Do I seal my boxes & suitcase?
- Yes. We do not need to see what is inside. All baggage is subject to x-ray examination and search if required by customs. We will not open your baggage unless you are present. However, customs in any airport have the right to inspect without you present.

How do I label my baggage?
- Please ensure that all items are clearly labeled both inside and outside in English. Every item must have name and address of your destination. We have shipping labels to download here.................

Do you charge by volume or weight?
- The charge is based on the greater of the volume weight verus the actual weight. Please see our volumetric calculator.

Can I send my baggage freight collect (COD)?
- No, sorry. All freight charges must be paid for prior to shipping.

Is it always cheaper by sea than air?
- No, in most cases, shipments airfreight can be cheaper. Will will offer both pricing options when we quote you.
